THIS SUNDAY is the THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT, which this year has the call of Moses at the burning bush as the first reading, and the parable of the unfruitful fig tree as the Gospel.  At the end of Masswe have our usual Lent retiring collection for CAFOD. We have so far collected £245 at Most Holy Redeemer, and £297.19 at Holy Cross.

WEEKDAY MASS TIMES  are at usual times this week, weather permitting, apart from the Tuesday Mass at Holy Cross which will take place this week only on Monday instead. Stations of the Cross take place as usual on Friday noon at Most Holy Redeemer, and if for any reason there is no Mass through weather or road repairs, a Eucharistic Service may be arranged in its place.

A ST ANDREW'S & HOLY CROSS LUNCHTIME LENT COURSE is being held at The Red House, High St, Much Hadham, on Tuesdays from 12.45 pm, and led by Diana Dillon. Soup and rolls are provided. Those intending to attend might care to let her know beforehand if possible on tel: 01279 842705.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS take place every Friday in Lent at 12 noon at Most Holy Redeemer led (hopefully) as usual by parishioners, and followed by the usual Friday Mass. Confessions during the Stations as usual from 12.10 pm.

SATURDAY LENT LUNCH in Much Hadham at 12.30pm this week: at the Taylors' at Brands Farm, Brands Lane. A contribution is suggested for the Haiti Earthquake relief.

NEXT SUNDAY is LAETARE SUNDAY (4th OF LENT and Mothers' Day), on which young people are invited to make presentations of flowers to their mothers at the Sign of Peace and to help make the day as special for them as they can.

THANK YOU EVERYONE who was able to spare the time to help in the annual spring clean of St Andrew's and Holy Cross Church yesterday, and thank you everyone who helped to provide refreshments.
