There was some discussion with respect to the rota for readers
which is managed by Hope. It was felt that new people might
wish to be included in the rota. Ken agreed to approach people
directly to see whether they might wish to undertake readings
and to point them in Hope’s direction
There was some discussion with respect to the Fabric of the
building and the maintenance required outside the Church. It
was reaffirmed that maintenance of the fabric of the Church
is shared 60:40 with the Anglicans.
In the Church grounds however, there is an agreement to share
the maintenance costs 50:50
The Committee agreed the £450 cost being HC’s share
and also agreed that this cost should be reviewed by successive
Committees each year.
It was noted that on all issues of maintenance, the HC Committee
should be given the opportunity to review and approve any expenditure
jointly with St. Andrews. Fr. Bob has raised this concern already.
There was a debate about the need for new servers to join the
team and for someone new to take responsibility for organising
the rota. Louise agreed to broach the subject with Amberly (?)

5. Review of Key
Activities and Issues Arising
It was felt that the AGM went well. After
a short discussion it was also agreed that the meeting format
should continue unchanged in that the AGM commences after the
usual refreshments and not directly after the end of the Mass
so as to avoid any possible sense of coercion
Holy Communion was again very well organised and went off extremely
well. Thanks to Louise and Lesley for all their work

Noel
Fr. Bob still does not feel comfortable
with the available information about Noel. It was agreed
that Noel should therefore be presented with something
from the Parish.
Ken / All to source an antique icon which was felt would
be suitable. Ken to coordinate. Budget c. £100.00
The gift should be presented to Noel at Mass on 16th September
Michael Gilbert would be asked to create a suitable card
This is not to rule out a papal award at some later stage
if sufficient information about Noel should ever come
to light |

Additional Matters
Arising / AOB
| • |
The floor in the
Lady Chapel is again being spoilt with candle wax
|
| • |
There needs to be someone to take
responsibility for looking after a visiting priest and
making sure everything goes smoothly. Ordinarily this
would be handled by Liz. However on the last occasion
Liz and a number of other people who might have stood
in were all away – which is an uncommon situation
|
| • |
It was suggested that Fr. Bob should prepare a list
of things that need to done to set up the Mass |
